Our first Peak Performer for January is Luke Murray, a goalie for Campus Wild 12U in Downingtown, Pa.

Luke surpassed the 1,000 save mark for the season in a January game vs. the New Jersey Titans. Through the end of January he had posted a .855 save percentage playing in the Delaware Valley Hockey League (DVHL) and Eastrn Junior Elite Prospects Hockey League (EJEPL). Luke had recroded 550 saves in DVHL play, 332 in EJELP contests and 128 in the Liberty Cup Tournamet for a total of 1,010 saves in 40 games.

Our second Peak Performer for January is Connor Murphy of Grand Rapid Griffins 10U. Connor had a tremendous month, compiling 11 goals, 19 assists and 30 points in just 10 games to go along with a plus-24 rating. Two of his goals came on the power play and one was a shorthanded tally.

Connor was named an International Silver Stick All-Star for the U11/10U  Sarnia Boys Finals in Ontario and also helped the Griffins win the Michigan District 6 championship by leading the tournament with 17 points in five games. In addition, he was highlighted as a GRAHA Scholastic Star, awarded to players who have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Our final January Peak Performer is Parker Nelson of M&M Thunder 10U from Marinette, Wisc. Through January Parker led the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association with an astromonical 56 goals, 10 assists and 66 points in 28 games. He had had piled up 10 goals and six assists in tournament play, earning game MVP honors multiple times, and also had recorded multiple hat tricks in his 28 outings.

Congratulations to our January Peak Performers. If you would like to nominate a deserving player to be a Peak Performer in the future, please see the guidelines below.

Nominate Your Team’s Peak Performer

To have a player on your team considered to be a Peak Performer, please follow the guidelines outlined below when submitting candidates:

  • Include the player’s name, the team’s name, the age group and any pertinent statistical or other information that would support the nomination.
  • Attach 30-45 seconds of highlights from the player’s performance or performances. This can be several plays included on one attached video file or a few different plays on several different attached video files.
  • Keeping the natural rink sound on the video is fine, but please DO NOT include music or other special effects such as slow motion, inserted graphics, logos, etc. If you are pulling the clip from a service such as LiveBarn and their logo is on the video somewhere, that is acceptable.
  • Please DO NOT send a link to social media posts or other videos that are posted online unless the link is to an actual downloadable file.
  • We would prefer to receive nominations from coaches or managers and not parents. If a parent submits a nominee, we may request to see a team statistics sheet, scoresheets or similar evidence to support and verify the nomination.

Please understand that because of the volume of emails we receive, it is not possible for us to reply to the submission emails. There also is no way that we can spend time searching for the information or video we have requested if it is not included with the email.

The only way to ensure consideration is to follow the procedure outlined above.

Also, there is no need to continue submitting nominations for the same player throughout the season once he or she is honored. A player will not be selected as a Peak Performer more than once. Players who have not been honored in past years also will receive priority over those who would be repeat Peak Performers.

We look forward to receiving your nominations and continuing to honor more players than ever from all over North America this season!
